Plot
Set against the background of partition in India, the story focuses on the positive actions of a small village and its consequences. A man named Jagga (Sunny Deol) has a passion for solving crimes and is particularly good at it. He makes money from his crimes and through this, he gives money to his mother. It is through this that he wins the heart of the only girl in the village, Shanti (Amisha Patel). The villagers are so happy that they don't allow them to elope as the boy had been warned by the village's chief, that if he ever had a relationship, he'd lose his village. The story ends with the boy's mother stating that the village will keep the couple together because they are poor.

Critical reception
Kathmandu Post wrote, "The film is loaded with emotions and stirring visuals as well as dialogue. The film has a few witty moments of dialogues but these moments are not enough to make the film different from any other action film."
